The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your responsibilities

• Define the Supply Chain Management (SCM) multi-year strategy for PPAP migration to PLM.
• Full Accountability and Ownership in developing a plan and driving migration of the PPAP to PLM.
• Collaborate with key stake holders like GPS, SCM managers and Quality manager in operating units and drive the migration of PPAP to PLM.
• Work closely with the Global and operating Unit Supply Quality Engineer team and align on PPAP process, guidelines for completeness and approval status.
• Provide technical assistance to the key users of PPAP both during migration and use of the PLM platform.
• Develop training package and deliver trainings to for PLM users for PPAP.
• Resolve conflicts proactively and if needed escalate at right time to Management to ensure progress is on track.
• Provide direction, Coach, and support the Supply Development engineers to define and achieve targets for migration.
• Present periodic updates to management, drive to develop and maintain analytical dashboard providing live status.

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Production Engineering or Electrical.
• 10+ years of Experience in Automotive, Aerospace or any manufacturing industry.
• Manufacturing process knowledge and experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality /Development Engineering functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience with PPAP deployment.
• Hand on experience in working with Windchill or any other PLM system.
• Experience in leading a similar project to setup a process or system in MNC is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Experience working with SAP QM module is added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, especially with data analysis, experience in developing dashboards / reports in Power BI is heavily preferred.
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Good communication, and presentation skills.
