Job Description

Site Location: Bangalore

• Manage supplier relationship, Lead cross-functional global teams to achieve key objectives; Play active role in resolving critical quality and delivery issues with suppliers. (Comprehensive ownership of supplier performance)
• Manage Supplier performance claims, warranty claims and drive for closure
• Analysis of price increases, reconciliation of demand and receipts and execute negotiation strategies
• Develop long term and short-term HGR strategies and roadmap to achieve these strategies in alignment with leadership
• Ability to make tactical plans and schedules to execute these strategies
• Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies
• Coordinate supplier assessments, on board qualified suppliers, identify work packages, drive transitions to achieve strategic objectives.
• Additionally, drive repositions, Cost Take out opportunities, etc. across supply base
• Negotiate Long term contracts with suppliers and drive key organizational objectives across the supply base.
• Develop and maintain healthy relationship with the regulatory agencies from the region.
• Identify and drive transitions of work packages that would fetch Honeywell Offset benefits/credits.
• Support Offset team in making and submitting proposals and reports to the regulatory agencies for the offset benefits/credits for India & other regions.
• Assume responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of the region and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved.
• Apply effective Sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supply continuity
• Improve Working Capital thru Payment Terms extensions, Payment cycle optimization, Vendor Managed Inventories Inventory and Lead time reductions
• Strong Negotiation skills and ability to influence the internal stake holders.
• Flexible for business travel (short/long duration) to especially Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Basic Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/Automotive/Industrial/Aerospace or similar field is required.
• Management degree in MBA/EMBA is preferable
• At least 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in low volume, high mix environment. Aero space industry experience will be desirable. Automotive industry experience is acceptable.
• Six Sigma Black Belt /Lean Expert certification is preferred
• Experience of working with cross functional team globally is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication & influential Skills & ability to build teams and motivate them for higher performance
• Familiarity with Aerospace Quality systems, tools Etc.
