Job Description

To develop, track and monitor project plans for the ANS portfolio reflecting project timelines, milestones and deliverables, tasks and resource requirements

Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• 
  Prepare Gantt charts to accurately reflect project timelines as per contractual terms and project specifications
• Track and monitor project progress against plan and report any variances in a timely manner
• Monitor resource availability and escalate any shortfalls to the Project manager for prompt action
• Develop and maintain project risk, issue and opportunity registers to support the project teams in developing suitable solutions to be taken in a timely manner
• Manage designated smaller, less complex ANS projects under the supervision of the Project Manager to support departmental activity
• Assist the Project Manager with the development of project documentation, such as concept of operations, system design documents, operational requirements and technical specifications
• Provide inputs to project report to support the Project Manager in communicating progress against plan
• Participate in the project activities and meetings as required to support the Project Manager and record action points
• Assist the Project Manager in tracking project spend against approved budgets to ensure any variances are identified and addressed in a proactive manner
• Perform other duties delegated by the line manager from time to time to support departmental activities
• Safety responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization. The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function

Technical Competencies

Educational Qualification:

• Higher diploma or equivalent preferred

Professional Certifications:

• Project management qualification such as AMP, PMP etc. preferred

Experience:

• 3 years’ experience of working in a project delivery environment 
• Experience of developing projectplansrequired

Special Technical Skills:

• English language proficiency required. Working knowledge of Arabic preferred
• Proficient in use of project management software such as MS Project
• Ability to generate high quality technical reports
• Ability to work under pressure  and deliver as per demanding timeframes
