Job Description

To be successful in this role you will be responsible to Leads, motivates and develops team of Junior staff members. Responsible for overall manpower planning and roster management of the department. Communicates with QACC Transport on asset maintenance issues. Provide guidance and operational coverage to team of Purchasing Specialists to ensure efficient and effective implementation of purchasing function with full compliance to regulatory framework. To perform Purchase related tasks. To ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements that the Purchasing / Procurement maneuverability are met with throughout the business process.

To achieve success in this role you will need to:

• Evaluates the department's day-to-day manpower requirements and prepares roster to ensure optima coverage to support the business requirements.
• Communicates with QACC Transport on issues pertaining to fleet management to ensure timely and effective maintenance of vehicles as per agreed maintenance schedule.
• Develops new suppliers' base to expand supplier pool while ensuring that legal and regulatory compliance Prepares technical and commercial reports of commodities and services as per line managers request. Ensure strict compliance with internal regulatory framework of Qatar Airways purchasing guidelines and policies.
• Monitors and verified accompanying shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificate of Origin, Halal Certificate, Health Certificates) and etc. to ensure full compliance with relevant Customs, Health Authorities and other external requirements.
• Creates, reviews and modifies new items in ERP Master Software.
• Submits request to create new or to modify existing suppliers in Suppliers Master in ERP Software.
• Organizes the initiation of PO (purchase orders) for overseas air, sea and truck container shipments. Coordinates in planning the material resource for any products QACC needs to purchase, based on demand (product, quantity, timing, lead times, etc.) together with QACC Planning team.
• Communicates with local and overseas suppliers on order requirement changes (adjustments to shipment delivery schedule, ordered quantities, cancellations and etc.).
• Monitor supplier’s performance and consignment delivery schedules; communicates to suppliers and shipping lines to track containers.

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with High School Qualification/ Vocational Qualification/ Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 3 years of job-related work experience.
