Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform disassembly, inspect, repair and assembly functions of parts, components and accessories in our OEM MRO facility.
  • Perform troubleshooting, modification and maintenance work.
  • Assist the Operations Leaders and Assistant Foremen in their day-to-day operations to achieve production targets and corporate goals.
  • Support and participate in New Product Setup, EH&S, Ethics, Continuous Improvement initiatives actively.
  • Participate in production linearity projects and setup, housekeeping and other workshop activities as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Comply with and adhere to RTX Code of Ethics as well as EH&S regulations, standards, requirements and procedures.
  • Upkeep & maintain all operational tooling and fixtures.
  • Perform cross-functional jobs within the department.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Higher NITEC or NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other related discipline.
  • At least 2 years work experience in disassembly/assembly/inspection/repair in the aviation industry.
  • Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Possessing skills in sheetmetal/bonding/fiberglass/plasma spraying/painting, will be an added advantage.
  • Good analytical skills, able to grasp concepts, track and resolve issues quickly.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess a good and positive attitude and has high level of integrity and accountability.
  • Always looking to continuously improve.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and multi-task.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and module operations procedures will be an added advantage.
