Job Description

We are looking for a Safety & Compliance Monitoring Officer to ensure that all Safety & Compliance Monitoring Department duties and functions are executed in accordance with the company policies & procedures and in compliance with Kuwait DGCA requirements.  

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain and control Safety & compliance monitoring documentation and records system.
• Coordinating Safety & Compliance monitoring safety meetings.
• Participating in internal and external audits as well as following closing findings.
• Review of departmental procedures, programs and inter-departmental relationship to improve efficiency and cooperation.
• Participate in an investigation, as required, on operational issues associated with incidents/occurrences/ significant defects on aircraft/systems reported under the reportable occurrence procedure.
• Manage Safety risks and Security threats to Safety & Compliance Monitoring Department activities.
• Liaison with other departments, service providers and appropriate industry bodies on matters related to his / her area.
• Other responsibilities which is related to his/her area of expertise, such as, but not limited to:
• Administrating the AirFase data collection and analysis, following the accuracy of AIRFASE information in cooperation with the Enquiring department.
• Following the reporting system process, actions and the feedback from the concerned department in cooperation with the concerned Safety & Compliance Monitoring Officer.
• Provides the SCM – Assistance Manager with the required statistics, data, and analysis (monthly and annually).
• Control and maintain Occurrence report system.
• Control and maintain Safety, hazard, and confidential reporting system.
• Maintaining an efficient system to ensure that Certificates of Maintenance Review (CMR) and Airworthiness Review Recommendations are issued as per requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A relevant engineering degree, an aircraft maintenance technician, or flight safety officer.
• “Relevant engineering degree” means an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionics, industrial, or other studies relevant to aviation safety.
• Computer literacy in MS Office program applications.
• Good knowledge of English language both spoken and written.
• Familiar with Kuwait DGCA regulations and ICAO related annexes and documents, provision of the regulations and the standards necessary to carry out his/her duties and responsibilities to ensure safety, security and efficiency.
• Has completed Human factors, SMS and AVSEC training courses.
