Job Description

 

Provide existing and potential customers with a superior and consistent quality service, both directly and in conjunction with GHA. Provide information and system support to customers with regard to rates, details, bookings, connections, regulations and other enquiries and oversee the service from GHA.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitor and oversee the service provided by GHA to ensure it is in line with EK standards, including adherence to the cargo load plan, maximisation of available capacity, and ensuring all safety and operational procedures are adhered to. Provide support and guidance to the GHA regarding EKSC standards and policies as required. Monitor import cargo receipt and breakdown; resolving any related issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor GHA ramp activities on both inbound and outbound flights to ensure load reconciliation as per the CPM / GOI, and correct handling of shipments requiring special attention – AVI / HUM / PER / VAL etc.
  • Prepare load plans for outbound flights ensuring optimum utilisation of capacity. Ensure all transit and destination requirements are adhered to for special cargo including AVI / HUM / PER / VAL etc.
  • Prepare and verify accurate cargo documentation, including monitoring of consignment status and ensuring correct documentation is available in accordance with local regulations and company policies. Ensure timely and accurate submission of UWS to Load Control for outbound flights
  • Update flight handling reports including identification and monitoring of irregularities and discrepancies. Communicate any irregularities / discrepancies to HDQ and relevant outstation/s
  • Dispatch post flight information to the correct departments in a timely manner
  • Process cargo reservations received by phone, email and direct FFRs in a prompt, accurate and efficient manner. Resolve customer queries, complaints and claims, including those escalated by Cargo Agents
  • Complete administrative duties as directed by the Cargo Supervisor/Officer, including ULD Control, data entry, statistics and reports
  • Provide support, guidance and coaching to Cargo Agents
  • Provide operational support and cover operational duties as directed by the Cargo Supervisor/Officer/Load Master e.g. freighter duties

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educated to at least year 12 or equivalent (GCSE standard)
  • Experience in an Airline / Cargo Operations environment
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and ideally hold a DG certificate
  • Knowledge of Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal Regulation
  • PC based skills including Microsoft Work/Excel/Outlook E-mail
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

This position is currently Monday to Friday however may change to a rotating shift roster, based on operational requirements. Must have the legal right to work and live in Australia. The company will not provide or assist with obtaining work permits.
