We have an opportunity for a Senior Communications Specialist to join The Boeing Commercial Airplanes Communication team and help us tell our story across India and South East Asia.

Based out of Singapore, the role will be responsible for promoting Commercial Airplanes products across the region, working in close partnership with our airline customers and building and maintaining relationships with reporters and influencers in India and South East Asia. The role is focused on reaching internal and external audiences, working closely with relevant business partners to both plan and execute on communications goals and priorities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Communications plan to support Boeing Commercial Airplanes business objectives in India and South East Asia.
  • Develop and disseminate Boeing news and messaging in the region, coordinate translations, editing, production and distribution of news releases, social posts and other digital materials in English and local languages.
  • Produce compelling content for appropriate channels and target audiences to drive preference for Boeing’s commercial airplanes and services and positively impact the company’s results or employee engagement.
  • Manage emergent issues to protect Boeing’s reputation and enhance the company’s brand.
  • Establish, maintain and strengthen professional relationships with communications counterparts at airlines across India and South East Asia.
  • Work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage a regional budget and regularly review progress and agree plan-shifts with internal clients.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (word, excel, power point, outlook)
  • Good interpersonal skills. Able to communicate well with different stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment; ability to deliver results under tight deadlines, yet with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player. Takes initiative, is proactive, collaborative, flexible and good at problem solving.
  • Candidate must be willing to work outside office hours to support the international nature of the business.
  • Some regional and international travel will be required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Understanding of social media landscape and how to create social content
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Singapore. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Singapore law.
