Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading power electronics team and participate in decision making in the development of power electronics subsystem which forms part of satellite propulsion systems
• Responsible to design, procurement, prototyping, optimization, testing and qualification of the power converters and other power electronics circuits
• Following proper documentation and test plans as per industrial standards during the design process.
• Participating in design, procurement, prototyping, optimization, testing and qualification of the power converters and other power electronics circuits.

Key Requirements:

• Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering/Industrial Power Electronics with strong experience in power electronics circuits design and realization
• 7+ years of industry experience in power supply design and hardware realization.
• Experience of working with high power circuit development and testing.
• Experience simulating and modeling using LT-SPICE/PSPICE, MATLAB & SABER.
• Experience working with various design software (design for manufacturing).

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience in the testing and qualification of power supplies/power electronics circuits to industrial standards.
• Experience in Power Electronics, DC-DC Converters, SMPS, Flyback, Forward, Full Bridge, Half Bridge, Push-Pull, AC to DC SMPS power electronics.
• Experience in designing circuits using MOSFETs, IGBTs, Thyristors, Rectifiers Power Management ICs (Gate Drivers, PWM Controllers, LDOs, Switching Regulators, LED Drivers).
• Experience with testing of Converters/Inverters/Drives Thermal Testing.
• Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) of Power Electronics Circuits, Analog Circuit Design & Analysis, Converters/Inverters/Drive
• Testing of Converters/Inverters/Drives Thermal Testing
• Debug & Troubleshooting of Converters/Inverters/Drives Electrolytic and Ceramic Capacitors, NTC, PTC PCB Layout
• Preference to candidates with design experience for complying with EMI/EMC norms in power electronics application and exposure with chassis design for EMC, RF Conducted and Radiated Emissions/Susceptibility Testing.
