Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future. The Cover Sub-Module is a part of the Vestas Power Solutions, with sites in Denmark, Portugal, and India.

Responsibilities

• Clarifying design requirements with all relevant stakeholders
• Develop concept and detail design of the components
• Align concept and detailed design with interfacing modules and submodules
• Obtaining, modifying, and optimizing CAD geometries to match the requirements & deliver final 3D, 2D and design BoM with right quality
• Iterating all the above until we converge on an optimal design
• Coordinate design changes through our Engineering Change Management system
• To assist meet the constant issue of designing larger & more complex wind turbine structures, within increasingly tighter time and cost constraints
• You'll also be expected to bring a spirit of innovation & healthy skepticism with respect to the way we plan and implement our work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's / Master's in Mechanical / Structural / Similar specialization
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in design and development of composite components
• Computer Aided Design (CAD) modelling; e.g. Creo
• Product Data Management; e.g. PDM Link
• Engineering Change Management (ECM), e.g. Windchill
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Scrum)
• Project Management education/experience.
• Experience within other large corporate organizations.

• Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we currently use in our workflow
• Provide innovative solutions to issues when performing evaluates, development or introduction of new tools or processes into our workflow
• Have a solid understanding of component design in order to model new and change existing CAD models
• Efficiently communicate with the Engineers
• Achieve goals as part of a team and that it comes naturally for you to collaborate and share knowledge
• Are committed to advancing the state-of-the art in Wind Turbine CAD technology
• Like to work with complex engineering problems and have a creative approach to new opportunities
• Take pride in initiating and coordinating technology development projects through a large organization
• Enthusiastic, result oriented and have a good sense of responsibility
