Job Description

  • Perform structural (static/dynamic) analysis for Aircraft seat/cabin/interior components
  • Perform both component level and assembly level FE analysis including model setup, analysis and results extraction
  • Perform force balance and moment balance calculations to validate the analysis
  • Interpret analysis results to meaningful conclusions to help in sound engineering decision making
  • Analyze structural components for stresses by hand calculations using knowledge of Strength of Materials
  • Test results correlation with FE analysis results
  • Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations
  • Reviews and approves design changes from analysis perspective for strength and deflection and deliver optimized design solutions
  • Creates and compiles Interface loads documentation for submittal to OEMs and Airline customers
  • Must be proficient in meshing (3D Hex & Tet mesh)
  • Must be proficient in Model Setup
  • Knowledge of load case setup & boundary conditions
  • Model Debugging
  • Must be proficient in post processing
  • Authors, checks and directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects
  • Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong Engineering Fundamentals and Strength of Materials
  • Should have experience in Stress analysis of Metallic components, Composites and Fasteners
  • Hand Calculations
  • Good Analytical Skills
  • Experience and exposure to regulatory requirements such as the FAA or EASA is a plus.
