Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for UAVs.

• Analysis of rotating machinery components and systems including conceptual design, detailed design, testing, validation, and product implementation.

• Develop Finite Element Models (Numerical and analytical). 

• Set up FEA models for Design Products in Abaqus and run simulations. 

• Define the applicable load cases and failure criteria. 

• Perform static and dynamic FEA. 

• Process FEA results and communicate them through documentation and presentations. 

• Use FEA to support test and failure investigations. 

• Perform Shock and Vibration analysis.

• Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs.

• Calculations to support design work.

• Prepare and participate in project and technical reviews.

• Collaborate in the development of internal and external project proposals and initiatives.

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors / Masters / PhD in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Applied Mechanics / Structural Dynamics.

• Experience in component/ system design/ analysis of structural components.

• Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems. 

• Proficiency in simulation software (Abaqus/ ANSYS/ NASTRAN) is a must.

• Proficiency in  CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar is a must.

• Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
