Job Description

  • Commercial responsibility within his/her area towards the head of the department
  • Handling of business cases in the area of air cargo import/export shipments and delivering of shipments
  • Organization of cargo routings through other Hubs and distribution to branch offices
  • Creates SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Pricing and calculation; makes offers to customers and partners
  • Accepts offers and optimizes the organization of transport
  • Price negotiations with airlines and General Sales Agents (GSA)
  • Selection of service provider
  • Responsible for position results of shipments
  • Compiles and/or control the monthly bordero report for his/her team
  • Monitors the completion of procedures for dispatching and delivering of shipments (entering electronic data, cover of insurance etc.)
  • Keeps contact with agents
  • Development of new lanes
  • Trouble Shooting - adjusts complaints and handles claims together with legal department
  • Issues obligatory instructions, directives and information in his/her field of responsibility and monitors compliance and performance
  • Optimizes the service-level
  • Arranges the training of the teammates and trainees
  • Knowledge of the standard operation procedures and systems like AS 400, S.P.O.T.
  • Knowledge of load ability in aircraft and of ULD (Unit Load Device)

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate in any discipline
  • Commercial education or special education in freight forwarding
  • 6-8 years in Air Cargo
