Job Description

This role is part of the Loyalty Fraud team and will support loyalty fraud prevention efforts, from identifying fraudulent behaviours or areas to improve existing fraud strategies to determining and implementing solutions. Will be responsible to work closely with IT, Revenue Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Customer Engagement and Ground Services..

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an incident reporter, responder and first line of defense; identify and respond to cyber security and fraud threats.
  • Detect and prevent potential frauds through timely review of alerts and reports generated by the loyalty system as per defined frequency which can be daily, weekly, etc.
  • Generate incident reports, develop and provide input into standard operating procedures. Assist with process documentation
  • Determine action required based on established procedures and work with supervisor to handle more complex cases
  • Place appropriate hold on accounts deemed to have fraudulent activity. Track and document action taken in a timely and correct manner to provide a record of activity and meet audit and compliance requirements
  • Open and prepare cases and follow all documented procedures to ensure proper cases detail is completed
  • Contribute to the creation/enhancement of fraud scenarios, by providing analytical data to support decisions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of fraud processes, tools, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Assist in the development and delivery of, and to participate in education, training and awareness activities as part of the fraud awareness progra
  • Identify gaps and risks in current mechanisms and policies and recommend solutions to policy owning teams
  • Identify technology gaps and work with internal / external tech teams on solutions

  • Ability to research and make appropriate decision regarding complex cases
  • Flexible to work for rotating weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, learn quickly, comfortable with working on a high volume of data
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, extremely organized and comfortable tackling an issue when presented with ambiguous information
  • Ability to take initiative, accomplish assigned work within timelines, and with a high level of quality, clarity and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from recognised university
