This role is responsible for the airside strategy development and implementation of all the movement areas infrastructure projects such as runway, taxiway, aircraft stands, navigation aids, AGL, airside facilities and utilities, in addition to maintenance works.

Key Accountabilities & Activities:

• Define the airside development strategy for NEOM Airports.
• Define the airside maintenance strategy for NEOM Airports (AGL, airside buildings, landscaping, runways…)
• Lead and coordinate all the activities related to airside development such us runway development, extensions, upgrades …
• Define the requirement and establish the specifications in coordination with the master planning team for all airside facilities such as: runway, taxiway, aircraft stands, utilities, navigation aids, stormwater network …
• Identification and selection of specialized sub consultant for the development of the projects.
• Launch RFPs for the related topics.
• Manage the sub consultant and ensure that deliverables conformity and quality are met.
• Work collaboratively with all relevant technical disciplines (Structure, Pavement, MEP, Security…).
• Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure international / national standards and requirements are met.
• Coordinate with relevant NEOM department to ensure the cohesion of the overall airport development strategy.
• Ensure that the innovation roadmap established for NEOM airports development is implemented
• Identify potential gaps between the innovation roadmap and the latest innovations, trends and new technologies related to airfield.
• Participate into redefining the innovation roadmap strategy with relevant NEOM department.
• Participate in Management meetings and prepare the relevant material, presentations …
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation with focus on Time, Budget, Quality and Performance throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintain day-to-day relationships with key strategic solution players, airport operators, airline operators and airport specialized providers
• Work as a communicator and moderator both internally and externally, understand different perspectives, align on common ground, and aim customer value and business solution.
• Manage the airside infrastructure team and ensure its operational effectiveness and results.

Background, Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

• 15 + years of proven experience in Aviation industry with focus on infrastructure airfield projects
• Experience working with specific software such as FAARFIELD, Civil3D, stormwater module, StormCad
• Experience working with InfraWorks will be valued
• Experience in airport airside operations is a plus.
• Experience on-site will be valued.
• Exposure to global aviation standards with GCC / KSA experience a plus
• Interpersonal skills to build effective relationships internally and externally
• Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and a good command of English and ability to present confidently to small and larger groups

Knowledge / skills:

• Deep knowledge in airport infrastructure field
• Previous extensive experience in airfield design
• Full awareness and experience of the various theoretical approaches for the study and modelling of hydrology (Rational Method, Hydrographs, etc.)
• Full awareness of AGL, Runways categories …
• Knowledge on geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics.
• Able to prepare engineering reports and presentations.
• Previous experience working in airside projects and familiar to main applicable standards and safety concerns like ICAO, FAA, UFC, CAAs, IATA, etc.
• Fluent in English
• Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Visio)
• Excellent skills in ACAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
• Project Management certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP), IPMA/GPM, PRINCE II)
• Industry specialized training a plus
• Fluent in English; Arabic a plus
