Overview:
You will lead the Business Development & Category Management Team and will take on P&L responsibilities to generate new revenue / sales for the existing iShopChangi business via expansion of the merchandising and merchant mix for both the domestic and travel retail marketplaces. You will be managing a team of Category Managers, responsible to strategize, prospect, and onboard new merchandising and merchants. In addition, you will personally curate and drive various new Business Development initiatives to generate alternative sales / revenue streams.  This will both be an exciting role which covers both leadership and hands-on execution. 
To excel in this role, you have to be a goal-getter, possess strong sales / business acumen, and enjoys curating and driving emerging businesses from scratch. With a deep passion for performance and fluent business networking and engagement skills, you will have immense room for business experimentations and diverse stakeholders and senior management engagement. 

Responsibilities:
As the Business Development and Category Management Head , you are pivotal in support the Business Head in devising and implementing the 5-year and immediate term business plans for iShopChangi, including undertaking P&L management responsibilities. You will  the translation of plans into execution, including leads cultivation, driving negotiation and contracting of partnerships. Specifically, this includes:

1. Strategic / New Business Development 
•    Supports the Business Head in Business Plan Development & P&L Management. 
•    Devise and implement the merchandising mix and onboarding strategy to achieve the sales, revenue and category leadership performance 
•    Curate and drive various new Business Development initiatives to generate alternative sales / revenue streams
•    Business Performance Analysis & Management Reporting
•    Works closely with the Business Head to develop new business ideas to improve performance
•    Drives the entire business pitch and implementation for new ideas such as business case analysis, seeking management buy-in, operationalization, and budget / ROI management

2. Merchant Acquisition & Account Management
•    To guide the team but also be personally involved in merchant acquisition / growth efforts such as prospecting, negotiating and cultivation.
•    Takes charge of the accounts and sales targets of merchants 
•    Review the performance of merchants, work with them to strategically conceive new business ideas to grow performance which may include range                 expansion, marketing or partnerships etc.

Key Performance Measurements include:
•    Sales, Revenue, P&L Performance
•    Merchant Acquisition
•    Product Range Expansion
•    First-to-Launch or Exclusive Brands / Products / Concepts introduced
•    New Business Development Ideas & Implementations

Requirements:
•    Diploma/Degree Holder with at least 10 years of relevant experience
•    Merchandising, eCommerce and / or marketplace experience is necessary.
•    Strong industry networks and contacts in the industry will be preferred
