Job Description

As Senior Manager of Operations Centralized Services you will be heading a highly critical function to the entire Operations and key departments of Matar to deliver support, guidance, and expertise on matters extending beyond day-to-day operations, but affecting the mid & long-term plans & execution of operations at HIA & DIA, and any other airports where Matar would be a key stakeholder.  The role holder will be required to master a wide range of airport management topics and to lead  a  team of subject matter professionals with expertise in airport master planning, project management, contract management, budgeting & control, central rostering, scheduling & planning, ORAT and major events planning.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Establish and develop a key coordination, control and development function in support of critical operational departments by working in very close collaboration with Ops senior management, with a focus on serving the internal Operations Department customer with excellent results.
  • Acting as a key pillar, leading operational initiatives, be a key player in helping pursue the Matar strategic.
  • Establish, control, and monitor the Operations Department budget in order to ensure efficient use of funds, timely financial control of budget, and where possible savings.
  • Be the  main  counterpart  for Finance &  Procurement  in  matters relating  to contracts  and all its  related activities  such as (approving,  monitoring the execution of the contract,  etc.), funding, and budget.
  • Development of forecasts.
  • Activities linked to master planning.
  • Optimization of resource utilization.
  • Long, mid, and short-term capex planning.
  • Long-term headcount planning to meet demand and facility requirements.
  • Capacity management, expect slot coordination.
  • Budget planning.
  • Process optimization and automation for all Operations sections.
  • Leading the department as the go-to function for all of Operations and key Matar departments for data,  by leading the forecasting, analysis, airport benchmarking, master-planning and advice on all matters affecting operations from curb to cloud and vice versa, and provide the right recommendation to other sections with Operations.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • You should have relevant experience in Airport Operations Management capacity.
  • You must have at least 15 years’ experience of in Airport operations environment.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and successful leading projects.
  • Brainstorming and creativity.
  • Communication and command in English.
  • Quality control and analysis.
