The Job Opportunity

The purpose of this position is to lead the Strategy & Solutions function; both pivotal to the execution of SME Growth plans. The role holder will be focused on strategy execution and leading the Solutions Development Team, which supports our growth and bidding activities.

Key accountabilities

  • To lead and manage the Solutions Team as part of the Growth function in collaboration with the wider business to deliver the Divisional strategy and business objectives, in accordance with regional and Group governance processes.
  • Aligning processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy
  • Responsible for working across a portfolio of complex bids, and product and service developments spanning Transport, Aviation, Defence and Citizen Services; digital asset management, workforce management, data management with a focus on customer-centred solutions using our ExperienceLab brand
  • To support the development of strategic divisional roadmaps that are prioritised based on the Divisional strategy, business objectives, external market environment and internal organisational feasibility, acting as a PMO function.
  • Manage a project plan including timeline, templates and resources in order to deliver the divisional strategy on an annual basis. Communicate with DMT and relevant team members to implement the plan
  • Work with Business Units and Business Development to shape and design new market facing value propositions and capabilities

  • Strong proposal and business case writing skills

Specific requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a bidding and solutions role within the managerial or leadership capacity
  • Experience in consultancy / outsourcing essential; with customer/user experience led solutions.
  • Good experience in the Middle East, with Saudi Arabia knowledge
  • Good understanding across all sectors to be able to measure performance and challenge decisions
  • Excellent relationship and networking skills, able to influence internally and externally
  • Commercial knowledge to analyse market data and identify new opportunities
