Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a specialist in raw materials with prior experience in sourcing metals and special alloys. The role requires expertise in sourcing, a focus towards building a supply chain, and the ability and willingness to manage the entire project, from procurement to delivery, for the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy and implementation plan in line with the overall goals of the organization, and build a revenue pipeline
  • Build a strong network of suppliers in India, and outside of India, and position Karkhana.io as a purchasing partner of choice
  • Develop customer profiles in terms of their raw materials requirements through customer interactions and relationship development, and through an understanding of their business.
  • Set up robust systems and processes for raw material procurement, costing, quality assessments, inventory management, warehousing, and end-to-end logistics
  • Manage entire projects for procurement and delivery of raw materials including procedural aspects such as costing, pricing and negotiations with suppliers and customers, contract creation, and invoicing and order closure. Achieve high customer satisfaction, while creating value for the organization and the suppliers.

Requirements:

Experience: 5-7 years

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering

Location: Mumbai or Bengaluru

Mode of operation: In-office
