Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop electrical and mechanical system integration modelling & simulation including discrete electrical component, energy management and operation optimization for Rolls-Royce aerospace electrical power system.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership in the modeling and simulation/integration of power electronic based power system technologies and mixed Distributed Energy Resources (DERs).
  • Technical execution of external control testing with virtual testbed on aerospace electrical power system to perform control-hardware-in-the-loop with the strong knowledge on real-time FPGA model.
  • Work towards becoming a subject matter expert (SME) for aerospace electrical power system design. As SME, you will represent the RRE-SG on aerospace electrical power system design matters at internal and external forums.
  • Lead R&D projects and manage cross-functional activities to deliver committed milestones, on time and within budget while meeting technical, business and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • MS/PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic or related engineering discipline. Candidates with significant experience in electrical power system/ network modeling and design are preferred.
  • Experience in commercial electrical power system solutions design and demonstration, i.e. architecture, component operation, system operation, associated products etc.
  • First-hand experience in design, modeling, simulation, and emulation of electrical power systems, especially involving sub-MW/ MW range power electronics-based systems.
  • General understanding of control systems and system level interaction dynamics.
