Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

  • Responsible for administering repair order life cycle for aircraft components in support of mainline aircraft components, including repair order release, invoice payment, quote negotiations, etc.
  • Continuously monitors supplier performance with respect to contractual metrics including turn-time, quality, and cost.
  • Maintains current quality assurances of applicable regulations and policies governing aircraft component repairs.
  • Perform computer transactions to release and manage repair orders at third-party facilities
  • Working knowledge of Supply chain processes and data analytics.
  • Support warranty and remedy claims for repair orders, assist AOG and Base Maintenance with Operational needs.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions.  Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

Required 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ year experience in supplier management, operational management, or Supply chain data analytics.
  • Advanced MS Office, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint
  • Basic task-management skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Aviation-related bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Aviation supplier management or production control experience
  • Practical experience managing aircraft component repairs
  • Advanced MS Office, e.g., VBA
  • PMP or CPSM or Six Sigma
  • Basic knowledge of Procurement processes (RFx)
  • SCEPTRE or Aeroexchange/b2b.aero or ERP (e.g. SAP, JDA, etc.) skills
  • SQL skills
  • Aircraft maintenance practices and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced data analysis and spreadsheet skills
  • Modern programming language, e.g., Python, Java
