Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute Finite Element Analysis and Design activities for static and rotating parts of Turbomachinery.
  • Setting up models and executing FE analysis to evaluate Nonlinear Stress, fatigue life, fracture of components and verify it against relevant values.
  • Drive lesson learned, best practices and standardization into Design and Analysis Processes
  • Work cross functionally with design team, manufacturing and sourcing teams to improve the product quality, cost and time to delivery.
  • Identify and understand relevant qualification/ certification requirements for aerospace products.
  • Responsible for understand component design requirements and identify failure modes by carrying out DFMEA and RCA.
  • Documentation of work at regular intervals.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering with 4+ years’ relevant experience in turbomachinery industry.
  • Sound Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and experience with hand calculations
  • Proficiency in CAD software – UG NX
  • Strong proficiency in FEA software – ANSYS, Nastran
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power-point etc.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Good experience with nonlinear stress analysis, thermo-mechanical analysis and vibration analysis of turbomachinery components
  • Experience on New Product Development
  • Knowledge about automation / programming languages like Python, ANSYS APDL, VB Script are preferred
