Implements and optimizes technological concepts concerning solution.

Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical engineering (~Total experience :5-8 years)
At least 3 years of relevant experience(e.g. Turbo machinery or Heavy Machinery)
Prior experience in the software "Ansys" ( Classic & Workbench) is preferred
Experience in developing structural design for mechanical components
Knowledge about the structural design of large castings, welded structures and forged components.
Good understanding of HCF/LCF and fracture mechanics
Experience In analytical calculations of bolted/welded constructions
Experience in definition of contacts , Nonlinear analysis, Buckling Analysis etc.,
Exposure to certification requirements for WTG components or similar
Exposure to International standards on safety and mechanical design
Align simulation activities and pas criteria with the design teams for each wind turbine platform to secure proper design and integration
Drive technical solutions and reviews with internal design team and multiple sub-suppliers and solution providers
Ensure time and quality in the deliveries to our development projects
Task coordination and priorities, as well as task execution of key tasks.
70% in Structural Design Exp and 30% in manufacturing Exp - Mandatory
He must provide solutions to the best Manufacturing( Welding / Casting, etc.,) methods for manufacturing failure and new design.

Job Description: for Structural Vibrations & FEA Engineer

In the role of Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Work in Mechanical Engineering Team (OF Generator) to develop direct drive generator.
  • Performs and delivers structural analysis with respect to ZCD commitments and propose design solution based on simulations.
  • Develop methods and approach to analyze simulation and test data using advanced signal processing techniques (MATLAB/ Python).
  • Responsible for the model analysis of generator systems, including prediction / simulation.
  • Predict of vibro-acoustics & structural dynamics using both analytical and simulation techniques (ANSYS Workbench/APDL preferred).
  • Experience in Wavelet analysis, PSD Analysis
  • Carry out high quality experimental validation programs covering modal analysis, Harmonic Analysis, operational deflection shapes, transfer path analysis and non-linear material modelling using MATLAB and/or Python
  • Contributes to the development of structure simulation methodologies and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and other stakeholders at all stages of the project.
  • Participates in relevant Design / Verification reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering/Civil/Aero
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Vibration analysis using Ansys Workbench/APDL. Intermediate level expert in MATLAB/Python.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Understanding of complex mechanical system. Ideally with automotive / aerospace / Wind turbine background.
  • An excellent working knowledge and experience in the design and integration of turbomachinery covering a broad aspect of disciplines (mechanical, electric motor design/control). 
  • Hands-on of failure analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of vibration equipment, procedures, and testing instrumentation.
  • Team player with systematic and independent way of working and good communication skills.
  • Results-oriented self-starter with a track record of delivering results.

Preferred.

  • Experience of working in global Engineering company.
  • Total/relevant experience 3 to 7 years
  • Knowledge in the fundamentals of acoustics and source characterization.
  • Previous experience in wind turbine industry is preferred.
  • Experience with a CAD package
  • Experience in developing qualification/test programs and ability to set up and execute prescribed tests.
  • Expertise in the prediction of vibro-acoustics & structural dynamics using both analytical and simulation techniques (ANSYS Workbench/APDL preferred). 
  • Experience designing and carrying out high quality experimental validation programs covering modal analysis, operational deflection shapes, transfer path analysis and non-linear material modelling. (MATLAB and Python preferred). 
  • Methodical approach to analyzing simulation and test data using advanced signal processing techniques (MATLAB is must).
