Job Description

The System Control Engineer to provide oversight and drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering software and development of Equipment Automation and Security System accountable for the technical performance of heat treatment and coating processes for the repair of aircraft engine components.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

  • Development & Implementation of PLC / SCADA Process Control Application & Facilities Management System, Industrial Automation, Window interface application.
  • Responsible for design & development, implementation, onsite testing & commissioning, support, documentation, and training.
  • Technical reference person for application and end users, software vendor to ensure efficient application, fixes, and enhancement with ad-hoc engineering support to facilities when required
  • Engagement with operations and maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime, and drive OEE deployment to better monitor equipment and utilization
  • Preparing technical specifications for the purchase and upgrading of heat treatment and coating equipment.
  • Coordinate and Manage Project and P&L Accountability. Conducting Risk Assessments and ensure that heat treat, and coating processes are operated in compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations and Policies.
  • Conduct buy-off, machine qualification and process substantiation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience of relevant working experience.
  • Core hand on experience with major SCADA such as Wonderware, GE Complicity, AutoCAD, VFD/Soft starter, major PLC such as AB, GE, Siemens, and HMI
  • Highly adaptable in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing/MRO environment would be an added advantage
