Job Description


Key Result Responsibilities

  • Acts as a middle point between the Quality Assurance and the Engineering Teams; ensures timely receipt of technical literature from regulatory bodies, manufacturer, vendors and agency holders and the immediate distribution of the same to the concerned within Air Arabia.
  • Maintains a consolidated register and up-to-date record (soft/hard) of all the technical documents issued by the Engineering Department such as the Engineering Orders (Eos), maintenance assessment forms, replacements, and modifications. 
  • Ensures all documents are produced, and published in the agreed format and in line with approved Quality Assurance standards of documentation to establish consistency in standards for maintenance personnel.
  • Provides the template format for a wide range of in-house and external documents provided and acts the owner of such formats.
  • Maintains an up-to-date distribution list for all Vendor Manuals and communicate the technical data to all approved locations.
  • Ensures review on all the technical documentation is done properly and timely, sends reminders of review and expiry dates, archives the approved hard/soft copies of a wide range of the technical documentation created and reviewed by the FTM group.

Key Result Responsibilities - Continued

  • Administers the RAL (ERP) system; creates new users and passwords and facilitates the integration with other systems whenever necessary.
  • Provides support to all the users and communicates with the service providers for upgrades and software related issues. Generates reports thru the “RAL” system to track documents and record as needed.
  • Partners with Technical Records and Development Engineers to verify EO accomplishments against approved standards; issues and communicates results to the concerned parties and recommends corrective measures where needed.
  • Administers FTP & Google drive portals, CFM website and the authorization for Engineering concerned staff to the Airbus World system.
  • Manages the users names and access control to the specified systems and to the Air Arabia manuals based on the matrix of authority and nature of roles; supports the out-stations in the access to manuals as needed.
  • Provides the engineers with timely and accurate necessary data on the AD (Airworthiness Directives) as per received from EASA & FAA (Federal Aviation Administration); updates all the Ads received in the system and communicate accordingly.
  • Checks and verifies the SBs/Ads (Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Derivatives) from both technical and administrative aspects to ensure compliance with the applicable certification specifications and with Air Arabia Quality Standards.  Maintains corresponding records and sends reports on the same to Airbus.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Bachelor degree Management or equivalent; alternately a higher diploma or certificate in a relating field from a recognized institute combined with needed experience and exposure.
  • A degree in Engineering will be treated as an advantage.
  • Compliance, Document Control, Librarian and Quality Assurance trainings are an added value and may be treated as conditional for this role.
  • Possesses appropriate knowledge of the legal requirements of the GCAA
  • Hands on technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft suite; Frame Mentor/Illustrator/Adobe/ERP
  • Professional membership of associations related to the Aviation/Airlines industry is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: reporting, presentations, etc.
  • Fluent in English Language.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar capacity in the Aviation industry, handling publications or technical library experience with Airbus A320 aircrafts is preferred.
  • Experienced in aircrafts airworthiness programs documentation and records requirements CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization).
  • Relative understanding of the aircraft planning and maintenance publications and their relation to the airworthiness program.
  • Possesses appropriate knowledge of the legal requirements of the GCAA pertaining to the Engineering and operations policies, procedures, manuals and licensing.
  • A multi-task oriented performer with high accuracy and great attention to details.
  • High adaptability, demonstrates skills in working with changes on data and resources efficiently.
  • Applies judgment in assessing matters combined with good problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Dependable, self-initiative, takes ownership, and displays energy and enthusiasm.
  • Capable of working hard under pressure without compromising the quality of the outcome.
