Job Description

JOB SCOPE :

To assist the Senior Terminal Duty Officer in managing day to day operations within the passenger terminal to ensure all activities are carried out in an efficient and timely manner

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

•Take appropriate action as communicated by the Senior Terminal duty Officer to ensure passengers have access to accurate and up to date flight information
•Monitor the manning levels of the information desks at the terminal to ensure information regarding flight delays / irregularities is communicated to the passengers in a timely and professional manner
•Assist the Senior Terminal Duty Officer to implement ways to regulate the queue management in order to maintain crowd control levels in the public areas across the terminal
•Take necessary measures to ensure accuracy and clarity of the passenger announcements and information published on the flight information display
•Report on technical irregularities or building malfunctions to the appropriate help desk for timely action
•Report on any emergency situation or unforeseen incident that may impact the security or safety levels within the terminal building to ensure timely action is taken
•Verify and report on cleanliness of the terminal building to ensure it is in line with Oman Airports standards
•Handle special situations such as, inclement weather conditions, industrial action, security alerts to ensure smooth undisrupted terminal operation
•Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management to ensure terminal operations are managed in line with the business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

•Bachelor’s degree in Airport or Aviation Management.
