Title: Toolpath Developer/Lead/Expert

Educational Qualification

• E./B.Tech/M.E./M. Tech/M.S.
• Preferred: Mechanical, Aeronautical, CAD/CAM

Experience Level

• 10+ Years in CAM - 2.5axis and Turn toolpath development

Primary Skills

Programming language - C++, Expert in software design, Expert in Geometry fundamentals and Computational Geometry, Knowledge of Machining processes Milling, Turning, Mill-Turn. Geometric algorithm development. Developed/implemented at least 1 toolpath strategy from the scratch. Very good in aptitude and analytical thinking.

Secondary Skills

• Any geometry kernel hands-on, Multi-Threading
• Tool Knowledge
• Any geometry kernel (Parasolid, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Unigraphics), MS Visual studio 2017 and above, JIRA, SVN, any memory management tools (Rational purify, bounds checker, etc.)

Desired Competencies

• 10+ Years in CAM - 2.5axis and Turn toolpath development
• Good knowledge of Milling, Turning, Mill-Turn machining
• Prior experience of 2.5 Axis milling and Turning toolpath development for CAM software product
• Expert in Software Architecture and Design
• Expert in Computational Geometry and geometry algorithm development
• Worked on any Geometric kernel (Parasolid, SolidWorks/Solid Edge/ Unigraphics)
• Expert in complex and large code base debugging and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of software development lifecycle, Agile Methodologies, and related processes
• Mentoring and grooming 1-2 people development team
• Able to perform code and design reviews
• Good understanding of OOP concepts, Design Patterns and Design Principles

Job Description

This position is for Technical Expert/Specialist doing hands on programming for 2.5 Axis milling and Turning toolpath development for CAM software product and leading a team of 1-2 developers. This is a long-term position for ISD GeomTech products development.
