Job Description

To handle and monitor learning, Training, performance and Development programmes that provides Gulf Air employees with the necessary tools to increase their level of competencies and ensure that individual goals and corporate objectives are met.

Manage, organise and administer the activities of the Assessment and Development Centre and assist in the implementation of employee development and succession planning programs.

Main Duties

  • Conduct training needs analysis on yearly basis in liaison with the departments to ensure annual training and development plan. Implement the identified learning and training programs for employees and manage their progress towards the agreed goals and targets.
  • Identify, design, and implement cost effective individual, group, and organization-based training & development sessions, which will result in long-term behavioural change of employees.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of learning and training programs and utilize relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
  • Implement the corporate talent management different programmes.
  • Liaise with Tamkeen and other governmental agencies regarding the various employee development programmes.
  • Organise the sourcing, selection, and evaluation of in-house virtual trainers and contracted instructors and consultants, as appropriate, and provide guidance and leadership in accordance with specified program objectives.
  • Locate training resources, and evaluate each development programme for effectiveness and value to the organization.
  • Establish contacts and build partnership and relationships with training specialists and educational institutes to provide development solutions and include accredited programmes.
  • Handle the administration, communication, and tracking of on the Job Training programmes and sponsored educational programmes implemented by the company with different official bodies, universities and colleges.
  • Develop, design and implement Performance Management systems and processes applicable to Gulf Air.
  • Assist Department Heads in setting organizational objectives and individual targets that are specific, measurable, achievable, results oriented and time related.
  • Provide the necessary support, training and development to employees to enable them to achieve performance objectives.
  • Implement reward strategies, employee recognition and human resource programs, which support the company’s objectives and business plans, enhance staff performance and morale in addition to providing a level of remuneration sufficient to attract and retain employees of the right calibre.
  • Manage, maintain and administer the activities of the Assessment & Development centre. Communicate with assessors & candidates to create the development plan and implement the activities and action tasks.
  • Coordinate workflow and administrative activities necessary to deliver and document all the training and development programs and activities.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and market research, to produce reports and recommendations that elevate the Talent Development function
  • Manage the coordination and completion of new and ongoing projects on time and within budget.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by Manager Talent Management.

Education & Training

  • University degree in Human Resources, Organisational development, or related learning and development discipline.
  • Must be computer literate, people oriented with proven excellent people management and motivational skills, consultative team orientated working style, high level of entrepreneurial skill, resilient and culturally sensitive with high communication skill.
  • Certificate in Level A, Occupational Testing, & Level B, Occupational Personality Questionnaires.

Experience

  • A minimum (7) years of experience in analysing and evaluating training needs and in the design, development and implementation of effective training and development strategies. The position holder must have the following skills –
