Job Description

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian Defence forces.It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Must hold or be able to obtain an UNMANNED AIRCRAFT OPERATOR PERMIT(UAOP) from DGCA approved Flying Training Organization (FTO), and must be comfortable working outdoors in remote environments in both hot and cold weather
  • Possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
  • UAV Pilot is part of a larger team of pilots, engineers and technicians, and should demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and good communication skills
  • Maintain daily pre and post- flight and inspection activity logs
  • Able to work extended hours as required.

Candidate must have prior experience in

  • Twoor more years of experience as an UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Pilot.
  • Expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System, Digital Sky and UAS operating rules and regulations thereof.
  • Must possess strong computer and documentation experience
  • Should have good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and be able to proactively seek out answers for any equipment or work-related issues that arise.
  • Must be familiar with flying fixed-wing UAVplatforms of various sizes and be able to learn to fly the platform(s) developed at NewSpace RnT.

Additional Desired Experience (Plus):

  • Aerospace Engineering Degree
  • Experience as a test conductor, test director, test pilot/navigator or similar

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and engineering experience
