Job Description

dnata the world’s largest Air Services provider is looking to recruit a Change Specialist to join their team in Dubai. Supporting dnata Business Planning & Performance Support Services on UAE Airport Operations projects

  • Your role will be to work directly with the change manager on special OCM projects on ground handling and cargo requirements for all Airlines at Dubai International Airport, the world’s largest international passenger airport and the home of Emirates Airline.
  • As a Change Specialist you will play a role in ensuring that dnata projects (change initiatives) meet the objectives on time and according the agreed expectations.
  • With a core focus on the people side of change, the role will also include changes to business processes, technology, with an open and outward view to changes to job roles and redesign of organizational structures.
  • The primary responsibility will be to work closely with the change manager to ensure the change requirements are captured, create and implement change management strategies and operational plans, adoption and usage, to minimize resistance.
  • As a Change Management Specialist you will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees within dnata to increase benefit realization, value creation, and the achievement of results and outcomes.

Essential duties

  • Support the Change Manager within the change management process
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities.
  • Assess the change impact and complete change management assessments.
  • Create a change management strategy.
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance.
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communication plan, sponsor road map, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Perform hands on communication at operational levels and support training efforts.
  • Support and engage senior leaders, and coach managers and supervisors.
  • Identify organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.
  • Run sessions for change adoption and change agent role play.
  • Coordinate efforts with other specialists within the Human Resources & other departments.
  • Integrate change management activities into the project plan.
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness.
  • Manage stakeholders while tracking and reporting issues.
  • Define and measure success metrics, and monitor change progress.
  • Manage the portfolio and change load.

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change process; with minimum 2 models.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Excellent writing and active listening skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision.
  • Flexible and adaptable, be able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.

  • Familiar with change project management approaches, tools and phases of the project life cycle.
  • Experience with medium to large scale organizational change efforts, preferably within airport operations.
  • Change management certification is desired, APMG or PROSCI would be a plus.
  • All candidates will need to have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a change specialist or within a similar role where you have had a successful track record in delivering change management projects.
  • Previous experience of working in an Airline/ ground handling industry would be an advantage however we welcome applications from any industry where insightful, accurate and timely data is critical to operational decision making.
