Job Description

To operate standard motorised and diverse technical equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order to undertake manual and technical activities to support Airside operations and Customers requirements. This includes but not limited to loading and unloading baggage and cargo to and from Systems, ULD, trucks, carts and aircraft.

Job Accountabilities

Generic Accountabilities:

• Follows all relevant customer service and airlines specific policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in line with regulations and SLAs
• Follows day-to-day operations related to own job and be available on the assigned task in a timely manner

Safety:

• Discusses safety concerns openly and reports them to the concerned Team Leader on shift
• Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

Specific Accountabilities:

• Operates different Ground Support Equipment (GSE) depending on the assigned area in line with the operating manuals based on the training qualifications
• Inspects assigned Ground Support Equipment to ensure serviceability and suitability
• Assists in airside operations activities including sorting, loading and unloading baggage and cargo correctly (whether it is a unitized or bulk) to and from systems, ULD, trucks, carts and aircraft
• Ensures vehicles and equipment are in close proximity to the aircraft
• Arranges dollies, trollies, ULD in various locations to support staging, supply , or rotation as the operation demands
• Provides marshalling and handling of dead-load to ensure smooth aircraft turnaround
• The terms and conditions for this role are in line with the DWC New Employee Proposition grading system. Please note you will be employed on a single visa status with shared accommodation at Dubai South having a common kitchen cooking facility.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications

• High School (Minimum of 10 years of schooling required)

Experience:

• 0 - 2 years of experience in Ground Support Equipment.

Knowledge and Skills:

• UAE Driving license (Category 4 Heavy Vehicle only)
• Valid license for operating equipment (ADP, TTR, LDL , MCB, Forklift, TPTR, Step, HGV)
• Basic Communication Skills
• Basic Safety Awareness
