Job Description

Plan, develop and manage the product strategy and roadmaps in support of dnata Travel brands. This includes research, customer usability, cross organisational impact assessments and business case development. Define the business requirements for products and lead the business implementation of all new product solutions. In liaison with Manager Product Solutions, develop plans to deliver the product roadmaps across the various businesses / business units.

Job Outline

Plan

  • Assess, recommend and drive competitive analysis, customer behaviour / needs analysis and market research to determine the most appropriate product feature set. Monitor the performance of product solutions and ensure that innovative plans are continually put in place to achieve the product roadmaps and ensure success of all product programmes and alter where necessary.

Deploy

  • Formalise and lead cross-functional stakeholder teams, create and manage the product development project plans to ensure on-time product releases while acting as the key point of contact during post launch support,
  • Ensure that developments are end-user focused and take into consideration usability and appeal to the customer and end-user. Understand all aspects of customer interaction and use this knowledge to drive measurable improvements in usability, conversion rate and delivery experience. Conduct usability studies to develop tangible best-in-class customer experience improvements.

Lead

  • Lead and deliver the product strategy and visions in terms of creation, delivery and continuous improvement to support the differentiation of dnata Travel brands,
  • Work with the brands to ensure that the business teams are aware of product developments and are fully able to exploit the opportunities that these present,
  • Maintain, interpret and communicate product solutions performance across the product portfolio, consolidating insights from business feedback and tools, including surveys. Act as the knowledge expert in the product area, ensuring that the wider business gain maximum value. Business gain maximum value from the product solutions.

Execute

  • Gather and transform business requirements into product specifications and documentation (i.e. a credible business case, functional specification and a project plan), in tandem with other product and support services teams. Support the product design (non-technical) throughout the project lifecycle through to deployment and ongoing management, and document product requirements through use of user flows and storyboards,
  • Own the product roadmap in line with the overall products strategies to maximise the development investment and deliver the agreed benefits and value to the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a related field e.g. technology or marketing
  • 8+ years experience in Commercial, sales, product management and/or product

Knowledge/ Skills

  • Experience in product / online product development and implementation, including industry best practice, preferably within the Travel industry
  • Knowledge of website functionality, usability and online customer bedaviours
  • Knowledge of technical solutions to assist sensible product development
  • Project management skills
