Beware of Fake Job Alerts in the Aviation Industry

Fraud, adulteration, hacking etc. are some of the most serious issues that we are facing in the modern world. Starting from banking frauds, fake telecalls, promising a good sum of money and always willing to “provide you jobs”, fake job alerts via websites and requiring money for appearing in the interview and maybe even scheduling an interview date without any proper meeting. You can often see that there are advertisements for jobs on social media platforms but simultaneously you hear that someone from your family lost his or her job. These challenges are increasing in the aviation industry as well.

Despite taking major actions by the cyber cell professionals these cases are increasing considerably. So, now as we know of the proverb “Precaution is better than cure” hence what it means to this context is that we as the citizen should be alert of such Frauds and to step every foot carefully.

Modern-day HR and recruits of every company are responsible for taking onboard new candidates. Generally, the tricksters target innocent citizens and as technology is progressing the way of forgery and tricks are also progressing. New methods and ways to make people compromise their money and careers. Detection of Fake jobs

In the last decade, there is an increased amount of fraud in the aviation sector. Even the companies started giving disclaimers on their websites that they do not charge any money for their recruitment. This started with a case that happened in 2017 with a person and he was cheated in name of Go Air. After this incident, it was found that the website from where the candidate applied for the job was fake and that is what Go Air said that the fake website started with “HTTP:/”. Hence it was then notified that “HTTPS:” is the correct notion where “s” stands for secure.

Whenever we see an Advertisement we must know about the company first and then only we shall proceed. If you see an advertisement visit the company website and verify it. If found fake then immediately report to the company if possible. Always remember no one will give you money just by doing nothing. Always check the email address to confirm your employer.

Sometimes airlines call you and say they found your resume online and talk about attractive packages. It is a fact that airlines receive 200 emails and they will never call up and ask you specifically to join them, so beware of it. People often get scammed due to peer pressure or family pressure — they take drastic steps in order to get a job. Believe in yourself and always take suggestions from your close ones or someone whom you trust. Stay true to yourself and you will succeed. Google your jobs and match the email or calls that you have received from the company’s site.
