The Chicago Convention is, also known as Convention on International Civil Aviation established the International civil aviation Organisation (ICAO) a specialized agency of the United Nations charged with the regulation and coordination of international air travel the Convention lays out rules of airspace, airplane enrolment, and well being, security, and supportability, and subtleties the freedoms of the signatories according to air travel.


This document was signed on December 7, 1944, in Chicago by 52 signatory states and when into effect in April 1947. The Convention has since been revised eight times (in 1959, 1963, 1969, 1975, 1980, 1997, 2000, and 2006).

As of March 2019, the Chicago Convention had 193 state parties, which includes all member states of the United Nations except Liechtenstein.


The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specific office of the United Nations. It changes the standards and methods of the global air routes and cultivates the preparation and improvement of worldwide air transport to guarantee protected and systematic growth. Its central command is situated in the Quartier International of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
What does ICAO manage today?


• ICAO decides the foundation for aeronautics, from correspondence rules, route, air traffic the executives (like talking in English), as well as guidelines for travel papers such as passports

Warsaw Convention

According to Clauses 17 and 18 of the Warsaw Convention, airline companies are liable for any damage that occurs to passengers or their belongings during in-flight.


Tokyo Convention


The Convention on Offences and Certain Other Acts Committed on Board Aircraft. it was drafted in 1958-1963 it was signed on September14963 and became effective from Effective DeDecember 4969


The show is relevant to offences against penal Laws and to any demonstrations risking the wellbeing of people or property on board regular citizen airplane while in-flight and occupied with worldwide air routes.

Hague Hijacking Convention


It was formally known as the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft) drafted on DeDecember 16970 and signed on the same date at The Hague, Netherlands and this only applies to civil aircraft, not on military aircraft
It is a treaty by members states to prohibit and punish aircraft hijacking.
It has 185 parties

They are the most essentia
l conventions that are helping the aviation industry to work safely and effectively with international Standards and Regulations.
