Top 5 Aircraft Designs That We Might See in the Near Future

“Human being is the perfect creation of god”

The Bible

Aircraft is an aeroplane, helicopter, or simply a machine capable of flying. As legends say “Aeronautics is neither an industry nor a science, it is a Miracle”. So the development started and now we can not think of travelling long distances without air travel. Since the time man started their air travel and things we have done. For instance, we reached the moon by rocket and now touching new thresholds and setting unique standards.

Here we will take a look at a few aircraft designs that we might see in the near future. Though new modifications are being made on a daily basis by the aircraft manufacturing companies, here we will see those designs which are yet to come. Research is still going on how to make those designs possible for use or AIRWORTHY. To know about Indian aviation 2022 click here

1. Boeing Truss based Transonic Wing Aircraft

Boeing came up with a new aircraft design of a wing that has struts. Nothing really new about struts as they are already present on many aircraft – many might think. Interestingly, this is proposed on transonic passenger aircraft which is currently used as a model and research is going on in terms of how to make it possible.

According to its designers, this feature should allow the plane to fly higher and faster than non and other truss-braced wings concepts. This fear of the wing reduces the wing weight and the high wingspan aircraft provides higher lift and more speed that is from 0.7 in normal transonic aircraft to a Mach of 0.8. It is expected that this design will be ready by 2030-2035.

2. The Flying V aircraft

The flying V is a critical design proposed by KLM. This aircraft design is considered to be fuel-efficient, with higher lift and speed than an A-350 and other passenger aircraft. It has a passenger capacity equivalent to A350-314. It is considered to be having 20% less fuel consumption. This design will have less weight and better Aerodynamic Efficiency compared to other aircraft designs.

3. AeroMobil Flying Car

Flying Cars is not a new concept anymore as a Slovakian manufacturer Aero Mobil made it possible. This is what we used to imagine since our childhood as we have also seen this in “Transformers” movies. This flying car can be used by individual person and has a transformation time of 3 minutes and it can be used on the ground as well air. It has automotive features and a speed of 160 Kmph. More research and developments are going on flying cars and these designs may be developed by 2035- 2040.

4. Double bubble D8 series

The double-wide fuselage of Aurora’s D8 Double Bubble airliner — seemingly two cigars merged side-by-side — enables the introduction of a new, fuel-saving propulsion concept NASA researchers call Boundary Layer Ingestion, or BLI. It’s a potentially game-changing technology. This design will have a higher passenger carrying capacity and research is going on how to reduce emissions on such Aircraft. This aircraft design might be seen in 2045-2050.

5. Airbus Zero e Aircraft

Future demands pollution-free technology with zero-emission from the Aircraft exhaust system. Airbus Zero-emission Aircraft with Blended wing concept Suggests Such emission-free design. This technology is considered to have reduced noise which is also a major concern for airlines. This Aircraft design has better aerodynamic efficiency because of lesser induced drag. This technology is one of the inspirations for the Flying V. This concept will be available by 2050s to be airworthy.

The introduction of new aircraft designs and the introduction of new airlines in the Aviation Industry promises better aviation in the future. Indian Aviation is also flourishing, new scopes and career opportunities will be provided in the future of this sector. Moreover, companies like Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and many others are developing their technologies and this is what will make aviation promising to customers. In the sense avionics systems are also enhancing these days and companies like Safran, Northrop Grumman, etc. have proved many a time how aviation can be modified.

Many aviation enthusiasts are pursuing aeronautical and aerospace engineering. So the aircraft design can inspire them to work more on aviation so that there can be a better tomorrow. Follow AERONEFS for more interesting blogs and verified aviation jobs.
