Wings 2022 at a Glance

Since covid19 affected the world, aviation affected the most, because it revolves around humans and the necessity of humans. After the lockdown of the airshow and the expo in Indian aviation got to hold for 2 years, this day and age 2022 AAI(Airport Authority of India), Ministry of Civil Aviation ( also UDAAN 4.0) and FICCI (Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) organized WING INDIA 2022.

Hyderabad Metro City is also known as Deccan city famous for its advanced and supportive police force, artefact, and food. Hyderabad can be considered to be the aviation hub of India. For the visitors, it was a great experience from toddler to the grown Wings India 2022 came after 2 years of delay so it was a new experience for the Jet setters. Wings India’s success proves the strength of Indian aviation on the global platform. 

Wings India 2022 aviation and aerospace event started from march 24th to march 27th of 2022, in Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, India.

Main Events at WINGS 2022

Eye-catching events were: 

  • Sarang Team and others flying display
  • Drone demonstration
  • Round table discussion India-US AMCHEM, UK NATS, and other aviation expertise 
  • Wings India awards

Most people who visited were of three categories: 

1. Visitors

2. Business personals

3. Delegates 

As visitors, Indian-made aircraft, future technologies of aviation and aerospace industry shown the potential of much safer aircraft transportation, most of the visitors got a chance to get a good photograph with aircraft, the children as a visitor and their curiosity are the rise of the future aviator.  

The showcases highlights are the aircraft construction assemblies and sub-assemblies, space and satellite telecommunication, pilot and nav aid and onboard equipment, airport services, equipment, and maintenance organization was the exposure to bossiness personnel. 

The total days of the event were of only 4 days but these four days has consisted of so many events, sky shows, new advanced and upcoming technologies, also the new technologies like drones, UAVs widen challenging working areas easier safer and faster for the individuals, especially the drones got a special Spot in this expo.

The airshows of Sarang by the Indian Airforce manoeuvring helicopter, drones shows, and aerobatic shows by Mark Jeffery Team made visitors’ mouths open while staring at the sky all the time even more than the 2-day show was not enough, with god’s grace nothing happened unlike Banglore airshow in 2019.

“India presents a unique opportunity in the civil aviation sector across the globe”

It was the largest civil aviation 2022 in Asia, So many leading manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, GE®, Pratt & Whitney, L & T, PAWAN HANS, HAL, CSIR-NAL (India) and so many other was the sponsor of the event, can consider that the world-leading aviation companies got their attention in Indian Aviation. More than hundreds of exhibitors showcasing Eco-friendly technology for the betterment of the future.

Wings India 2022, was a success so there might be a change soon more investment in the airline industry especially for domestic connectivity by local and global investors will occur. The reason is hundreds but the combined effort of states and central govt made it possible to make the country as 3rd largest domestic aviation market and 7th largest civil aviation market in the world. Possible for even Indian-made aircraft were in the exhibition. In more than 35 countries 600 delegates participated in respective forums was the attraction and motivation for aviators.
